What You’ll Do:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Siskin Hospital, you'll play a pivotal role in the following:

  • Provide Compassionate Patient Care: Deliver hands-on nursing care through the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—ensuring the best possible outcomes for each patient. You'll work with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with tailored care that addresses their physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
  • Lead and Supervise: Oversee and guide nursing personnel such as LPNs, CNAs, volunteers, and students, ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Collaborate for Better Care: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, and educate patients and families on health management, discharge plans, and post-care instructions.
  • Be Prepared for Any Situation: Participate in emergency procedures, follow infection control protocols, and ensure that all procedures adhere to state and federal guidelines, including OSHA, JCAHO, CARF, and the Tennessee State Board of Nursing.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Tennessee.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in acute care is preferred, but we offer comprehensive orientation programs for those transitioning into the role.

Certifications:

  • Current CPR certification.
  • ACLS certification within one year of employment (preferred).
  • CRRN certification is a plus (or eligibility to take the exam).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in medication administration and patient safety protocols.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on quality care.

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and assist with patient transfers exceeding 50 lbs and up to 200 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for performing delicate patient care tasks.
  • Capacity to stand, walk, and concentrate for long periods with frequent interruptions.
