Responsibilities:

  • Managing inventory selection and reception activities to meet retail demand efficiently.
  • Procedures for product handling are observed while moving merchandise around the warehouse.
  • Plans and arranges products in a logical order suitable for shipment, while also unloading incoming freight from trucks or back-hauls.
  • Undertakes general cleaning responsibilities to promote warehouse sanitation and hygiene, minimizing the risk of infections and diseases.
  • Undertakes inventory checks of warehouses, following standard procedures.
  • By maintaining consistent communication and information sharing, this individual is able to work collaboratively with their peers, suppliers, and warehouse leaders.
  • Presents insights to warehouse management on improving logistics procedures.
  • Scrutinizes goods, discusses with warehouse administration regarding the worth of merchandise, safety risks, and sanitation troubles.
  • Makes autonomous and authoritative decisions within the assigned scope of responsibility.
  • Supports the warehouse management team in achieving their budgetary objectives.
  • Carries out all allocated tasks with accuracy, proficiency, and conformity to established company policies and regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly lifting and arranging products that can weigh up to 45 pounds onto pallets located at different elevations is part of the job description.
  • Continuously shift goods from warehouse storage and get them ready for delivery to stores.
  • Warehouse employees must be able to carry out tasks such as sitting, standing, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking frequently.
  • The position involves performing tasks in temperatures that constantly change, ranging from hot to cold, regardless of whether it is outdoors or inside a refrigerator or freezer.
  • The skill to handle powered industrial equipment in a secure and efficient manner is imperative.
