Role: Dietary Aide

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables and making salads.
  • Serve meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and portion sizes.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and eating areas.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a food service or kitchen setting is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Ability to obey instructions and collaborate well with a team.
  • Maintain a cheerful attitude and communicate effectively with residents, facility administration, and HCSG management.
  • Adhere to COVID-19 vaccination mandates.
  • Able to lift/carry up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Capable of performing routine, repetitive tasks consistently.
  • Comfortable working around food and cleaning supplies.
  • A current ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required based on specific regulations.
  • Residence within the service area is necessary.
