Billing Support Specialist

BILLING SUPPORT SPECIALIST | POSITION SUMMARY:

The Billing Support Specialist is the final step in the invoicing life cycle and ensures finalized invoices are received by our clients. This step is pivotal in managing our AR balance, reducing invoice rejections, and maintaining customer relations. This position is on the Revenue Operations team, reports to the Revenue Operations Manager, and works closely with all Invoice Managers (IMs) on the team.

This position is in our St. Louis office and will serve as the Biller for this office, but we function as a cohesive team so there may be times when you are supporting IMs from other offices. This can be accomplished in the St. Louis office using our companywide accounting system.


BILLING SUPPORT SPECIALIST
| ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with the team members to prepare client invoices in a timely manner.
  • Working with Invoice Managers to obtain all invoice back-up documentation needed for client invoices.
  • Input and updating data into company software system(s).
  • Work in multiple client portals and accurately invoice as their standards require.
  • Provide general administrative support to the St. Louis office and the Revenue Operations Manager as needed.
  • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall administrative needs of the St. Louis Office.


BILLING SUPPORT SPECIALIST
| POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

  • Full-time position located in East Carondelet, IL
  • Typical hours are 8a – 5p Monday – Friday; some flexibility and overtime may be needed dependent on business needs


BILLING SUPPORT SPECIALIST
| REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • Two (2) years of administration or billing experience is preferred.
  • Requires being detailed and thorough in completing work tasks.
  • Requires strong communication and organizational skills, flexibility, effective time management skills, a cooperative attitude, and change management abilities.
  • Excellent computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Windows based programs are required.
  • The ability to operate a telephone, copy machine, scanner, and other office equipment are essential.
  • Must be self-motivated, yet willing to work as a team.
  • Extremely reliable, desire to learn and succeed, and have a high level of energy.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, and other business contacts in a positive and friendly manner.


BILLING SUPPORT SPECIALIST
| PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in business, finance, or accounting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Deltek software systems (Ajera, Vision, or Vantagepoint) is a plus.


BILLING SUPPORT SPECIALIST | WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
