Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
  • Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure they are in excellent condition.
  • Conduct thorough janitorial duties in both commercial and residential settings, adhering to safety standards.
  • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote sustainability within the facility.
  • Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned according to established schedules.

Skills

  • Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and products used in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with floor care procedures, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
  • Experience in facilities maintenance or porter duties is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks as required.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
