Hourly Rate: $123.71/hour (+$5.00/hour for on-call outside normal hours)

Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a licensed Physician to provide professional medical services in support of the Virginia State Police (VSP) and associated state agencies within the Richmond Metro area. The selected contractor will deliver direct medical care and act as a medical consultant to the Department, including providing supervisory or collaborative services to the Department’s Medical Office as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Licensure:
    • Valid, unrestricted Virginia medical license.
    • Active DEA license for controlled substances.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of clinical practice (occupational medicine or law enforcement-related experience preferred).
    • Experience in medical oversight and collaborative practice is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Compliance with state medical protocols and documentation standards.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration with law enforcement and administrative teams.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must pass background screening and credentialing per VSP standards.
    • Must comply with all Commonwealth of Virginia and Department of State Police policies, including confidentiality and data security.
    • Completion of state-mandated training and documentation as required.
  • Mandatory Requirements: Provider must have their own medical office location for medical care and examinations to take place

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver general medical services for personnel and designated individuals within the Virginia State Police system.
  • Provide medical evaluations, consultations, and fitness-for-duty assessments.
  • Collaborate with administrative and medical staff on policy, health protocols, and operational support.
  • Serve as a consultant and provide clinical guidance to the VSP Medical Office.
  • Offer supervisory or collaborative oversight for nursing staff or mid-level providers, as required.
  • Maintain strict compliance with state and agency-specific medical protocols, documentation standards, and confidentiality.
