Systems Administrators install, maintain, and upgrade internal computer hardware and software systems including designing, developing, and implementing IT services. Systems Administrators propose and implement enhancements that improve the reliability, security, and performance of the system, and monitor usage and performance.

The Client OS/App Systems Admin is responsible for analyzing, designing and implementing solutions for the desktop and thin client environment. This position is also focused on patching 55,000+ clients within our Enterprise. The Systems Administrator must also provide detailed recommendations for management, strategic planning and implementation, and consulting with other departments to understand technical and business needs to support and analyze recommended changes. The Client Integration System Administrator will help ensure maximum productivity and minimize downtime to our internal customers and provide the highest level of service and support to all desktop and thin client environments.

ROLE

Packages and deploys third party application versions and security patches.

Analyzes complex client system configuration issues and provides solutions.

Understands Content Management (CM) site servers, distribution points, management points and other server roles for application deployments.

Generates Patching reports for Management.

Manages and maintains Client Group Policy.

Creates and deploys Windows images through Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and MECM/OSD.

Edits and customizes the Installer package using packaging software.

Works with setup capture utilities to create automated application packages.

Creates package collections and advertisements in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (CM).

Troubleshoots package distribution issues related with CM.

Tests applications and creates Quality for QA testing and doing an End-user Acceptance Testing to pass deployment.

Delivers packaged applications to desktops through CM.

Creates and updates documentation of troubleshooting and issue resolution along with strategic planning, scheduling, and tracking of software distributions.

Manages the packaging process from initial request, collecting application requirements, creating silent install packages, to testing and deploying application

Creates and publishes Virtual Apps.

Packages and deploys Applications to Macs via WorkspaceOne (Airwatch).

Able to support off hours work as required including on location and 24/7 on call responsibilities on a rotational basis and travel as needed.

REQUIRED

Minimum 5 years’ experience configuring, supporting and managing desktop devices in a large distributed enterprise environment.

3 years’ experience supporting users and deploying applications via Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.

3 years’ experience packaging applications and application updates with tools such as InstallShield and/or sequencing applications using Microsoft AppV.

Minimum 3 years’ scripting experience using Powershell.

Proven experience analyzing and designing solutions for enterprise desktop strategies.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft client operating systems.

Experience with Microsoft OS patching.

Experience with Microsoft Intune.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated strong organizational skills and proven ability to meet tight deadlines as well as coordinate, prioritize and communicate project statuses.

Ability to adhere to Costco’s required in office work policy and adaptability to changing policy requirements.

Self-motivated and able to work independently and with team members with little supervision.

Pay Ranges:

Level 1 - $33.65/hr - $45.67/hr

Level 2 - $90,000 - $120,000,

Level 3 - $115,000 - $150,000

Level 4 - $140,000 - $175,000
