Millwood is accepting applications for the general labor position. The job responsibilities include assisting with hands-on physical labor and the operation of machinery with the goal of streamlining company production and the upkeep of customer satisfaction.

Position summary:

The General Labor position is essential for maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our operations. This role involves a variety of tasks that support the overall workflow, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will contribute to a safe and organized work environment, which is crucial for the well-being of all team members. By performing physical tasks and assisting skilled workers, the General Laborer plays a vital role in the success of our projects. Ultimately, this position is key to delivering quality results that meet our clients' expectations.


Duties include:

  • Must observe all safety guidelines and protocol.
  • Inspects and repairs pallets for defects including, but not limited to, broken boards and blocks, missing components, nail defects, debris, and contamination. Correct defects that do not meet specification criteria.
  • Lift and carry materials as needed
  • Ensure materials and products are properly stored to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
  • Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
  • Sort and stack pallets and materials by size and grade utilizing APC methods
  • Complete and turn in all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures with applicable federal, State and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements.
  • Clean and maintain all responsible work areas in an organized manner.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret imperial system.
  • Successful completion of pneumatic nailer training.
  • High school diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Related experience is preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills

Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • You must be 18 years of age
  • Physically able to lift 50lbs as needed
  • Physically ability to stand, bend/stoop, kneel, lift, reach and other physical tasks during an 8-10-hour shift.
  • Must maintain safe and tidy workspace
  • Ability to understand and complete job tasks accurately
